Nancy is a certified Reflexologist who's been in practice since 1986 and is a member of the Pennsylvania Reflexology Association (PRO) .
Trained in the Ingham Method and with a background in Shiatsu (International School of Shiatsu), she combines the two with the method of Chinese Reflexology called Rwo Shur - a method that originated over 5000 years ago.
She has taught Reflexology for Bucks County Community College Continuing Education, as well as to pregnant couples of The Bradley Method in Germantown, PA - and is a former Reflexologist for Bode Body Works and L'Avantage Day Spa in New Hope, PA where she started in 1989, a few months after the birth of her son.
Traditional Reflexology The feet are cleansed with either Tea Tree oil or other organic or natural herbs or oils to clean the feet (you have a choice of either) and the session begins.There is no soaking of the feet, and does not include aromatherapy oils at the end of a session, that is the Western approach and it is available by request.
Applying acupressure to these distinct points using thumb, finger and hand pressure can help the entire body come back into homeostasis; stimulating circulation to revitalize and harmonize the functions of the body to effect a physiological change- activating the lymphatic system assisting in elimination of toxins trapped in the body.
Reflexology is a Science which deal with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet relative to each and every part within the body. Based on acupuncture, this meridian system runs throughout the body.
